What exactly is my risk profile?

Your risk profile is a snapshot of how comfortable you are with investment risk. It reflects your:

  • Financial goals
  • Timeframe for investing
  • Tolerance for market ups and downs as it might affect your account balance

Think of it as your personal investment personality. Are you someone who prefers slow and steady growth, or are you comfortable with a bit more risk for the chance of higher longer-term returns?

How do I find my risk profile?

We've made it easy. Just head over to our Risk Profile Questionnaire. It's a quick, straightforward tool that asks about your goals, investment experience, and how you would react to different market scenarios.

Once you complete it, you’ll get a recommended investment mix based on your answers. Before switching your investment mix, it’s generally a good idea to contact a financial adviser to discuss what this means for you.

What happens after?

Once you know your risk profile, you can:

  • Switch your investment risk profile; or
  • Talk to a financial adviser if you want more personalised financial advice.
